Hi Alan, Yes, I have to agree, not only are they hard to get hold of but they're expensive too! I was lucky enough to get mine from a guy called Elton from Split Parts, anyway he sold that part of his business to Das Resto Haus (search dasrestoparts on the net, they're based in Queensland) who currently import the Classic Fab panels. The set I purchased were reasonably cheap as they had some minor damage from shipping....easy fix so I snapped them up. I have seen some utes with wooden gates, or none at all while the owners keep looking. Mine were pretty shoddy and my panel works guy said it would be cheaper to get new ones than spend weeks trying to straighten the old ones. http://www.busware.biz/HOME.html is great for tonneau covers if you're looking. You could always try some wanted to buy ads on Gumtree or the other VW forums. Sorry I can't be much more help. Good luck with your search, if I hear of anything I'll let you know. cheers, Tim
Hi my name is Alan, and was going through some old sites and came across your dual cab resto, and was wondering where you got hold of the gates for the ute. im building up a 77 twin cab and was trying to track down the tray gates, as mine are buggered. trying to find stuff for utes is quite hard , or maybe im looking in the wrong places . thanks Alan
