Have you tried charging the battery and see how long it holds charge if it is just disconnected?

I have heard of people machining cases to 60 thou but I wouldn’t go there.

Well - ended up mounting the storage pockets today.
Used a nut, bolt and washers and fixing it to the door skin, with a clearance hole in the door...
Secured it all down and it wasn't the water pipes after all :cool:
Ended up taking all the junk out of the car and the noise has gone...
