Not a certified mechanic just had a few vw from beetles to kombis and a few watercooled thrown in .
No just a vw nut owned way to many beetles , a couple of t2's ,a caddy camper and polo and now a v tiguan and another t4 ,
No worries his work shop is in the street before mine , lol

Yeah it has a little rust in front i was going to make a semi camper , with the ute i can carry loads for the farm and while building and was going...
I understand your points also though and trying not to be fully hung up on something im going to be always rebuilding .
Ive had way to many vee dubbs the misses would kill me . Being semi retired and broke most the time a collection would cause me lots of issues

Its a 94 non turbo ....... i did really want a ute to start with but just not sure as cost to get it , then to get it here and then rego as the van...
Not that rich , but i like your thinking the ute will cost the same as the motor will for the van
Now this doesnt help, ive been offered a t4 cab chassis diesel 5 speed . Not sure whether to put money into the van or just buybthe ute ....
No i need to save a little money for that so starting with the easy bits .
