This van was sold to a guy local to the seller, I've met the new owner and he's a nice guy.
The van is tidy and the engine is a beast !
He paid good money for it but the main thing is the man is happy, he's cruisen round and it puts a smile on his face.
Another tidy split on the road around here as well...happy days.

Out on site one day, i got talking to the tiler that was there that couldn't be f#^ked working,as he had better things he would like to be doing (surfing)and we ended up talking about kombi's. He had been to "dubs by the pie" that weekend trying to sell his bay window as he had a new bus turning up that needed some room. He was picking it up the next day and could'nt wait. After finding out it was the silver bus we had a good chat about it and what he had planned for it. Certainly slowed work up a bit. Like Ian said he's a top bloke, and very lucky in more ways than one as i don't think i will see him tiling again any time soon Cruizing and surfing will be his thing now. Lucky bastard.

Finally seen this one , seens no one on here would post a pic , had to go get my own spose it's the same one related to this thread . Spotted him at Landsborough Easter time hookn down the road then checking out the bay for sale in one of the pics . Looked and sounded pretty sharp to me

While i'm at it , this car reminded me of the silver one that was running around Adelaide when I was down there working last year .. Or is it the same one ? I'm sure Dave will know the bus i'm talking about !!

It was advertised for that. Wound up being less. I seem to recall it had a 2332 or maybe not that big, but anyway it read well. Also A/C.

That is the car that originally made me start liking splits.

I remember putting a note on his windscreen at Victor Harbor to see if he wanted to sell and that I would give him good money for it.

Now knowing what I know what I thought was good money for an old kombi was nowhere near what it was worth.

Glad he never called me because he would of laughed!!

Yeah I remember seeing it a couple of times whilst I was down Adelaide last year . Both times I was at an intersection at traffic lights and it was whipping across said intersection , so didn't get a chance to get a pic . Now you mention it dave I do recal it looking a little squished in the roof area .. Nice looking bus ..

Hey Brad you could only imagine what old mate was thinking when he read that note on his window
