Default My '63 SC

I thought some may like to see what a five year resto invloves ending in a prize winning SC (2nd 2005 VW Nationals)

The first photo is as I found it. The SC was special as my wife went to Sunday School in the back of it when the farmer who owned it picked up all of the local kids. The farmer then his son owned it from new. It was driven into the shed in 1984 where it stayed until I rescued it in 2000. I had known about it for years and finally the farmers son said take it away for $500.00. I didn't have a clue how much it was worth. It did not start and we had to use a front end loader to get it on the trailer to come home. Anyhow here are the pics.

As found.

Cleaned up a bit and home.

The engine after removal.

The engine after a visit to Stan Pobjoy (1200 went up there 1380 came back).
