I bought it 6 years ago, ran It to Valla in 2014 and the shelved it!
Stance is beautiful
as are the wheels.
Love the colour
art direction has been nailed.
That is just gorgeous @DakDak67 . Beautiful front end. Is that the red 9 front end?
Roller paint job coming along very nice as is the running gear!
Well now would be the time !!
My painter is coming over to go through the bus and price up the job . Still a ton of stuff to do but I'll be handing over the controls finally, I really have fought right to the end on this one, my skills for this level of finish have run out without a doubt!
To be honest , It'll be nice knowing someone else is making it shiny .
I rolled the Fuel tank with a colour I have access to for free, pretty sure I'll paint the engine tin the same with some nice detailed striping
Would you consider a bay tank while you have a chance? Despite the shininess of your OG tank now.
Sold the bay tank yesterday , scrapped the idea.
On the bright side I reckon I scraped my knuckles more fitting my tank and hose then any other job I did on the bus.
Nice bling on the 4 corners
Other progress with the front end and paint noice
Still mocking up, had a busy week . I save 4 pop outs , tapped M4 threads and fitted SS screws. Nutserted the Safari's and support arms as the self tappers are a shit way to do it.
Welded in new hinges and fitted two new WW pop out frames to the doors.
An hour or so getting the front bumper straight after welding in new doglegs etc, I can't stand misaligned bumpers.
Back bumper next and straighten up the splash pans , both rear 1/4's need to be drilled for the splash pans.
I have a few more jobs before it's ready to send for paint, nothings quick.
Not much to report, bus is all mocked up and ready for refinish in the next few weeks.
We're selling our house so the garage is stripped back as we are having open homes at the moment.
I'm looking forward to buying a bigger house with a shed, I've frikkin earned it.
Oh, If you want to buy a 3 bed house with pool and 6 car parking in the 4012 post code for under 800k , hit me up .
Well, It's been a while since updates as I tend to do . Moved to the lovely leafy suburb of the Gap In Brisbane's inner west and am very happy , It's incredibly quiet out here yet only 7km's from the city. I've got great garage space and room for all my other shit.
The good news is I have a new shop lined up in the next few months to paint the bus, the last guy didn't work out. This time I didn't muck around.
Bugger me the cost have gone up , but It's just got to be done.
Standby for some sexy arse shit, I'll do this crappy home build justice.
In keeping with my slow build tradition, life has been in the way again but I'm still locked in for a few weeks time. Busy drilling trim and small repairs always take longer than expected but visual progress is the reward.
Bumpers to do next and some more sanding inside and we're mostly done.
Keep chipping away at it, the list to do will get shorter an getting you closer to the finish line...
The Bus is in the shop and it's coming on very nicely, being done the right way by hand.
This is just the poly primer , it’s going to be nice
The finish is always determined by the prep……and you’ve done a 5hitload !
Gonna be awesome once it’s done.
I’d be too scared to park it anywhere except the garage.
Cheers Mark , truth be told, more filler work was required on most panels .
Looking good Chris, can’t wait to see the colour go down
