Im going and I'm gonna park the van inside. It has no paint on it so should make it much easier for you guys with vans that have paint :D

When you say “no paint”, it is back to metal, or just original paint, with “no new paint”? o_O

My syncro is now out of rego and due to the slow system of re-rego - waiting for my mechanic to be available to do the hand written pink slip (cant use the electronic version for my club) and the extremely slow postal service I might be coming down in my silver T3 2wd instead.

Not a bad thing anyway as that van is pretty nice to drive.

Coming down early to try and get through the Covid entry situation. Getting close now - only a couple of weeks from this weekend!

Even better! Its a mix of original paint, rubbed back primer, random green paint and some rusty metal. We do plan on painting it but not before the 23rd so no paint it is! The inside is nice so that redeems it a little hahaha.

Two cars are a pain. Trust me. I have done a few photoshoots with two cars.

It probably will be, getting a second driver was only half of it, detailing them another story. Most likely would only ever do it once.

That's the same as I did. Yes you will probably only do it once.

The wife promised never to go on a photoshoot again.

Working on the final unveiling of the 'u beut ute'.
Feel a bit apprehensive as amateur resto if will be acceptable for a 'show n shine' event like the Nats though.

Don't worry about it. VW people aren't like that. There will be a lot of rough ones there that yours will be better than.

People know about it know ,so unveil isn't quite the same ,that seems to happen with modern technology (computers). It had a bit of unveil today in Newcastle.

It will be an unveil to me, and looking forward to it. :)

Yes, I’ve seen the journey in pics, and yes, I know about it......... but nothing better than to be able to see the results of your awesome efforts, in the “flesh” (metal). ;)

The one you had your first T2 experience in, the blue microbus.

Another winner! So the SC stays home, and feels unloved as the others get an outing for the day? :(

The good thing about the Nationals, is it attracts all sorts, and everyone is welcome to attend, and also welcomed by fellow VW enthusiasts. ;)

Will keep an eye out to say “hi”, if you decide to attend. :)
