I vote we meet at the bar next year and make a call from there whether to stay or go outside for a picnic or the likes.
We had a great day and took heaps of photos. You can check them out here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.301800076573610.71379.111632265590393&type=1 Will probably post some video in the next few days too.
Did anyone get a pic of the engine bay in the Ruby Rose beetle ? Billet EVERYTHING !! & a mirror to see the belly bling too. Awesome detail. Cheers, mark
Awesome red beetle that one and totally bling city - gets more bling every time I see it. A great fun day again as I had a VW only day with no kids. Caught up with a few people but missed a few too. Some good shopping too. Photos: Syncro line up @ sparrows fart wait to get in: Syncro bums: Bills almost Tristar (well what VW Australia tried to make a syncro DOKA into a tristar as they couldnt get them anymore): Farquires syncro camper:
More Syncros: My dads ex-syncro now owned by Roger III: My Syncro: Hartmut's Trakka syncro: Roger Bell's syncro all the way from Victoria which has been to the Cape:

The single country buggy in the show: I cant believe how wide they are! Then my camera battery died. Had a whole extra row of busses to snap too.
We had a fun day and yep, like everybody else would have been good to have a meet point. Was a great day though, lots of eye candy.
Thanks for the pics. Sorry I missed it. I had all intentions of going but had some stuff to take care of in the morning and by the time I remembered, it was nearly 2 o'clock! Baz
Up close they look sooo wide as they basically sit on a beetle pan with these wide box sections either side. Love them but and aparently they are surprisingly good off-road.
We enjoyed our 1st nationals but missed the commeraderie of meeting the KC mob ! We met Gus and family ,Nathan the Dubman ,James "Nevilles" pilot & Karstan . We saw familiar Kombis in the car park and on show ....but where were you guys ? I concur with Melissa and Nathan central meeting point required! Cheers Mark & Lynda
