With plywood cut, vent holes added to release heat and painted and alittle bit of fine tuning it fitted perfect.

I am so impressed with the Ctek DS250 DC to DC charger and flexible 100w solar panel.
Yesterday was the good test where we started the 50lt fridge (I didn't pre cool using 240v) then pushed the car into the sun.
Volt meter was reading 13.2v from the solar charging alone, it was a perfect day with full sun.
The volt meter was difficult to read as I wanted to see how many amps the fridge was pulling but the instructions for the meter were written in Chinese English !!!!
"Load leads of the watt meter are connected together and the black leads essentially so...This means the "other side" of electricity is "hot" when a battery is connected to the other side !!!!!!
    WTF
Any way I have emailed supplier to get diagram or English English instructions
So last night the fridge was left on from 3pm to 7am this morning, with solar power charging and a 30min drive home from work last night the battery result went from 12.54v down to 12.35V
The battery is 130amp/h AGM so with regular running of the engine and some sun all should be good
We plan to go camping next week to get a real test of battery life

Well we are back from the 600km round trip and what a blast, kombi driving is different, its a relaxed slow pace.
Woodstock survived the severe heat driving down, thunderstorms and brisbane bottle neck traffic on the way home with out a fault.
Temp never got over 190f and no issues with cars or trucks passing us as we only travelled at around 90km/h on average.
Suprising how much stuff you can pack into a Kombi..hahaha

After Flat Rock we moved up the road to Skennars Head (near Sharpes Beach) Big 4 holiday park, there we had a swimming pool and some nice grass.
A great place that was cheaper than Flat Rock, only bummer was the 20min walk carrying surf boards to sharpes beach...other wise cool place.

    Gday Col,

Thanks, its a non slip matt on the fridge not a towel, my project this week is to design and make a proper space for the fridge.

    Cheers
