    Hey David

Great Job. Looking good. I hope you made it out to the lake today. I couldn't con my family in for a drive up there today on the last day of school holidays, so it will have to be next year for me.

Anyway ... what "colour white" did you use on your bumpers. I'm looking for a really crisp/clean white and I think yours looks great and might fit the bill.

    Hi OSF,
I'll have to ask the beater if you desperately want it . Just let him match what was there.
Make the back look like the front repair you did.....& he did.......& it's white:cool: but i'll ask if you want. Yeah...it's a 'clean white'.
    Cheers.

    Hi Kombi Groovers,
Fixated or just focused? Addicted or determined to outcome.
    Judge me??? P1100662.jpg2.jpg P1100663.jpg2.jpg
    At your mercy!
'I' is for injected. All those other Kombi owners took the rest in NSW!!!

It looks sleek against the wheel cover. Reverse black/white.

So today was door cards. Anyone who'se ever done these knows it's a job to be avoided & I did that for 2 weeks!o_O
Bit the bullet today and made the front door card plastics with 'relief' for mid door incursion.
Also had to work out how to do panel pins. They are such a 'bitch point' of these vehicles. If you've had your panels 'in & out' a few times your 'pins' are going to 'float' well enough to move in the location process. Not so when they're new with extra width due fancy covers!
    So what did I do?
Beer mate suggested putting 'Play Doh' on the panel & holding 'in plane' & 'bashing it' to create a position on the play doh to mark the position to mount the 'blind' clips.
Worked for 70 %. Just made up the rest. Yet to do but all top edge clips are in the right spot. Just a matter to chase the circle from there. P1100667.jpg2.jpg P1100670.jpg2.jpg
    Cheers,

Clear plastic door cards then? o_O

Great to keep an eye on any problems in the door, at a quick glance, I guess........

Yeah, they look good!;) Lets you know if there is a problem in there.;)
    S**t Grantus,
This is just the hardest part of this reno. You may know I hate interiors but door cards on T2's are my specialty hate!
Tomorrow I hope to be done with both & if I never have to remove/or place an interior door card in a VW Kombi in the rest of my life I'll be a happy man!:p
    Cheers

David, are you going to put the door vents back in or just cover them up?

Grantus, Too bloody hot to do anything other than extended & close family dinner tonight. Went to work this morning & asked my gutter guys their decision. Day cancelled by 9.30 due lack of interest & HEAT.
Covered. Spent too many years snow skiing to have any more holes in this bus!
    They don't ventilate that well.
    Cheers
