When I engage reverse my rear lights are not coming on (not the globes) any help where to look cheers Mike
There is a switch on the brake cylinder that is pressure operated. It could be wire fell off switch is stuffed earth is shot fuse blown Fuse is easiest to check but my money is on the switch
Ooop - for some reason I thought you said brakes And I dont even had a red wine in my hands Maybe that is the problem but generally the same answer Manual - switch on gear box Auto - dopey fidley switch at the bottom of the housing
Just to add to the mix, the power for the reverse lights comes from the positive terminal on the coil runs around the left hand side of the engine (in the engine bay) where there should be a black inline fuse holder the wire than continues through the firewall to the switch and lights. The most likely culprit is the wire is not connected to the coil or the fuse is blown/missing or the holder is damaged. (This is assuming it's a manual I have limited experience with the auto but suspect it's a similar setup)
