    Maybe just get it sprayed in rust guard?

    Make repairs a lot easier in the future :eek: :D

    Rust guard is just a modified enamel.
    ie jam job.
    Use the correct paint otherwise the next painter will curse you.
    Only alkyd enamel can go over alkyd enamel unless you use a tie coat.
    Plus I wouldn't be confident re gloss retention, chalking.
    Use the proper paint for better results.
    2 pac will give better finish and chip resistance.
    Lacquer is prone to chipping.

    Hi
    I would love to use 2 PAC but never used it and I know you need to know what you are doing with it, I will be doing all the external panels proper paint eg acrylic.
