Nice purchase mate :) I know that bus and it’s a good clean tidy example. I use autoglym plastic and rubber conditioner and have had great results even on old crusty dusty window rubbers. Spray on and leave it overnight then wipe off. For crusty window rubbers I apply it 2 or 3 times and the results have been fantastic :) be sure to also join us over at T3 Owners Australia if you’re a FB type :)

    Good purchase. ;)

Besides any of the above treatments on plastics , I use a couple of light coats of VHT vinyl dye

Cheers Dapom, seems leaving treatments overnight is the goer. I think I joined the FB group the night I picked up the van haha, Brett gave me the heads up so I'm trying to absorb as much info and learnings from everyone along the way.

Cheers Grantus, leaving it overnight is a solid idea, I will take it off and do exactly that on the next washing adventure, in the meantime I get to enjoy it for what it is. Nice vans you have also, alot of time ($$$$) spent on these but they look amazing, hope to see them in the flesh at a meet at some point.

Nice tidy looking T3 you where able to pick up. yeap it's bad luck changing names on boats does it apply to cars, don't tempted fate:rolleyes:o_O. At least you don't have to christian the car like a boat with a champagne bottle:eek: but you can celebrate when your girlfriend comes home by drinking it and showing her the kombi.

The VIN on the vehicle will tell you which month, year and where it was built. ;)

Post it here and I'll look it up.

As far as I know records of Australian VWs do not exist.

Cheers Syncro, I’m have that as the build date and not import date? Would love to work out the import date somehow as from what I can tell there were no imports in 1987 and only limited in 88. Just wondering it’s history of import, probably impossible to find out, curious bugger I am. . I wonder what Trakka records are like, worth a shot I suppose

Where did you get the information on imports from?

Nobody has that information. There are no known records.

Yours would have definitely been imported in 1987.
