It was a great turnout. Some beautiful vehicles there and the weather! Why do the non-VW events have great weather and we get stuck with rain?

Andy Roberts won First Prize for his kombi and Little Red won 2nd!! I didn't get the winners name of the VW (other than Kombi) and I do know that 2nd place winner had left - they had the name as Andy Hoddle - does anyone know who that is? It could have been a green beetle but not sure. I didnt get any photos, hopefully someone else can get some shots up here soon. Grasabi - whats wrong with your photos?

Andy Roberts owns the blue/white samba that was parked up the end near me. Thanks for fixing the photos - they are great.

Thanks Jimmy - can he get in touch with the Meredes Club to get his prize?

    Hi Melissa

Jim rang just after we got home to tell me the beetle had been given a place, I thought he was just pulling my leg. We only got the car back on the road this tuesday after a three year restoration. Certainly not what I expected but good anyway. I'll contact the MB Club and see what they say ?

I would also just like to say a little word about Ben Durie who was responsible for creating the engine in the car as well as doing various mechanical checks on other items. He was a top bloke, always helpful, often forgetful but nothing was too much trouble. His knowledge will be missed in the VW community RIP Ben.

Thanks to the organisers for a great event.

Welcome Andy - congratulations on your trophy. You have a piece of history now with a Ben Durie motor - he will be sadly missed.
