Looks nice in shiny metal.Plenty of rusty patches. Looks like there is a fair bit of work to be done. Good to see another DC being done

Nice. I can tell you are "doing it right" and not mucking about.
It's not cheap to do (I got a good feel for what it's already cost), but it will definitely be worth it in the end.

I be following your progress intently. Keep it up.

    Cheers

The price is really only have the picture the rest of the picture you can see above and the reward soon follows.

surf bus - just had a look at your FB page. You really have done some serious work on this DC. Good stuff.

P.S. Can't wait till we get some kind of KC DC convoy happening somewhere sometime.

    The funky green panels :)

I still regret that day back in 1996 when I sold my DC :( ..... Mrs said it had to go as wasn't appropriate for me to drive clients around in BUT it was the coolest car they had ever been in ;)

Yup but it's what you pay for is what you get....... quality costs and better to do it right the first time than save and paying more down the resto road ;)

As good as the funky green panels are, without them we would not be able to restore these cars.25 odd years ago when i started doing these we were cutting up other cars for sections and we dont have that option today. The aftermarket panel industry was not around as it is today,as with any brand of replacement panel they dont just fit and can take many hrs to do so.
All these old cars have rust issues that you cant see and with any resto there are many ways to skin a cat. Ultimately that decision lays with the person who is paying as to how long thay want there rebuild to last.As people on hear are finding out, shiney paint can hide a lot of nasty repairs

That's why I've got one foot on both a DC and SC.I do like a good SC:) harder to get as well,in my opinion.
