I ordered a new phone through 3 and I am sure I ordered the Sony Ericsson G502 in red - it was just delivered but I got the Sony Ericsson W660i in red instead :wtf:

Did I get ripped off or a better deal? Before I ring and get put through to the Indian call centre.....

Melissa, both are very similar phones..... Both are 3G phones tha download at 3.6 Mbps, both come witha 2megapixel camera, the W660 has a 2.5x digital zoom, the G502 has a 4x digital zoom. Both have memory expansion using Sony's patented Memory Stick Micro, however their internal memories differ slightly....the W660 comes with 16mb internal while the 502 comes with 32mb internal. The 502 has a better screen resolution of 320x240 pixels while the 660 only has a screen reolution of 176x220. Both have the same other features like bluetooth, polyphonic ringtones, etc etc.
If your running a MAC computer at home the 660 wont sync with the MAC.
On the whole I would say that even thought the 660 is a newer model, the 502 is a slightly better phone for your money.

    Hope this helps.

I am on the phone to India right now... is it true that none of the Sony Ericsson phones will work with Macs?

My understanding is that even with MAC's OSX plugin application called iSync, Sony's still won't sync.

Please, anyone correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Edit: sorry I've just read Jaydot's link above, so it looks like some models do.

Well I am stuck with these phones anyway - they wont take them back. I don't know how they can say I ordered the 660 - its not even on their website... but too bad. I have had a look around and I might be able to download something so they can be used with a Mac - its not like I want to use it as a modem - its just to be able to download any photos I take or put music on it.
    This one has them listed

Get a card reader? The micro SD card should come with a adapter, so get a usb card reader. then you can use it for multiple things, and you can get around using factory software

I bet I never get my 5110 stolen. I can also use it as a weapon and I can read it without putting my glasses on.

.........and I can also talk to people on it.:D
