    Hey Scott,

I heard about poor old Beryl - been waiting for an update on where things are at for her.
Has she had her cosmetic surgery yet?

It would be sad not to see her on the road again soon.

    Cheers, JOSH

    Josh,

Shannons wrote her off which means I got paid out.

This means tracking down parts myself - not easy to find 40 year old stuff as I didnt really want to use Chuckster best stuff if I could avoid it.

Managed to find some good very hard to find parts at good prices from "The Farm" in Canberra and hence parts almost collected then time to start fixing her bum up!

Low-light rear bumpers are often the first casualty of any accident and hence finding a stright rot free one was difficult - I even got one with the delux bumper trim holes drilled ready to fit my new trim.

Her bum will be lookin good again soon!

    Cheers,

Yeh, low-light bumpers in straight condition are hard to find - good score on the deluxe one

Glad to hear that you are piecing her back together - hopefully you have some good people doing the repairs ;)

    Mark,

Anything older than 15 years of age is classed as a repairable write off as it is not listed on the RTA or Aussie wide register if the vehicle is older than 15 years.

Beryl has good news she has had a full makeover and is going to gte painted next week.

    Massive project but nearing completion.

    Thanks Shannons!

Ahh, thanks Scott...good to know how it works.
I've been very happy with Shannon's service however never had to claim.
I've just moved our Suby over to them as well....green slip alone was $150.00 cheaper than the nearest competitor.
Hope Beryl's rollin' again soon & all this weather clears up for the occasion. Cheers, Mark

I wondered when someone would ask.

I am busy fixing my daughters new nipper board and bathing the other daughter - so I will update tonight.

    Cheers,

Hope Beryl makes a full recovery. :) Love the look of the wheels and tyres, what size tyres are you running on her?

    Pomboy64,

The wheels are ex-syncro standard wheels which are slightly wider than standard bay/ T3 wheels - syncro wheels are 14 x 6 inch rather than 14 x 5.5 - not much in there.

The tyres are 195 x 75 x 14 with the integral white strip from the factory - very hard to keep white!

    More progress:

The dash is now painted and I think the roof is too - I only have a photo of the dash done:
