I spotted this Kombi on the way home from Quakers Hill station. I thought I saw a "For Sale" sign in the window, so I followed it. I didn't catch the owner as he stopped in to pick up a child from daycare but I snapped this pic with my phone.

It looks like a clean van. 2 litre manual, '74 I think. According to the sign, it has had some work done at Indian Automotive. He's asking $10K for it. I gather by the rego it's a low-light(?). Not what I'm looking for but if anyone wants the mobile no., send me a PM.

    Cheers,

    Baz

    Maybe it's just low...

I don't know much about Kombis yet!

Agree with you on the wing!

    Lowlight

    Saggas,

Lowlight indicators on the front continued into '73 with the larger square tail lights. With the intro of the '74 came the high front indicator lights next to the vent.

Lowlights with the small oval rear indicators finished up in 1971!

Got my lowlight details up to speed as I have just found a fabo '73 microbus -more details soon.

hey matt. im pretty sure the '73's were built in '72 and stamped '73 if they were built post october.
but hey lets no split hairs :)
if its a lowlight it would be even cooler.
id still roll it minus that wing.

I still haven't figured out what lowlight is anyway (still reading up) but just assumed that from the rego LOW-something. Maybe I got the year wrong from the sign, or he'd dropped a '74 motor in it??? Sign said it had a bit of work done at Indian.

    Cheers,

    hey baz,
'low-light' refers to the low indicators of kombis made from 1968-1972 such as:
