    Has anybody replaced alternator brushes if so where did you get them? this is for my 82 T3

    Hey Guys thank for input. Got a pair of ebay for$7 looks like a simple job to unsolder the old and solder on the new!

    Yes, dead simple to solder the copper tails onto the brush housings. I got mine done in Roy's Auto Electricians in Kogragh, Sydney, but would do it myself next time now I know what to look for.

    Just be careful not to use too much solder as it can wick into the pigtails and restrict brush movement. Less is better.
