Amazing that the best dressed costume for Adult Female was won by John (Pearlie) dressed as Olive Oyl;) as judged by the venue staff:confused:.

Awesome, we found at Mallacoota a member (Shaun) who lives just outside of Dubbo. They are going to check out the piece of ground the council told us was free parking to see if it's big enough as we had already left for home when the council replied to us. Unfortunately Dubbo council are a bit money hungry & any large areas that they would allow parking on, they wanted $$.
I'm also "putting it out there" to the locals, for a spare paddock. Shaun & Erica also came up with a spot almost in town & could make a novel idea for the photo shoot, the local drive in, think you could work with that David? It's privately owned & a markets is held there, fingers crossed we can wangle a freebee
    Cheers :D

Haha you guys organised the table, which turned out to be a brilliant idea.
The only drawback of not having assigned seating, end up with single spots here & there. I know as a parent of 6 myself going out with friends can be very boring for the kids, especially in a Club.
Again well done to all the kids & parents :D

Nice photos guys - heads up for next year - we are going to be expecting "race wear" for the Kombi Races - suits, ties, fascinators and formal wear - anything that fits for a day at the races!

Given we're at the races in our suits standing cheering for our horse (kombi) I think I'll be running a tote to make it more exciting:). All profits to a local charity:D (nah...not me!)

After some long drives we made it back to Brisbane last night. Under VW power.
And whilst we have a few issues to iron out, I am very glad our Evie Bus is no trailer queen. She did well and got us through a lot of km's.

Thanks to all the many people who personally helped us along the way. You all made the trip memorable and possible. Love the support the kombi club provides.

And a massive thank you to Deb and the handful of others who organised different parts of the weekend. Lots of work goes into Busstop and trying to cater for everyone. My family and I appreciate it.

    Looking forward to Dubbo.
Felt like I earnt my 4th Busstop sticker despite rocking up in a Kia.

Glad you made it back home safely “Mr Incredible”. No disgrace in turning up up in a Kia, just commitment to make it there. Well done to you and the family.
