    Hey all...
Just wondering if anyone has found a nice camp ground in SE QLD that allows Dogs? I know there are a lot of bush camp grounds out there that allow dogs but does anyone know any beach camp grounds?

    Thanks

Just a bit South of SE Qld is Wooyung. Camped there last night with 2 dogs. I love it. Dog friendly caravan park and dog friendly beach over the rd.

The only beach (ish) one is military jetty at Caloundra but its a bit of a dump, a great place inland from gold coast is Thunderbird park www.tamborine.info, this is where we are having a KC get together mid October, its a real good camp site :) and very dog friendly

    Thanks :)
Wooyung sounds like a awsome place. This time of the year i try to stay clear of bush type camping with my dog, cause of those nasty ticks.

It is lovely. And the creek is good for people swimming too. Just be careful though, the rope swing that was set up when I was there has a landing point above a submerged log. Not fun.

Yes we love Neurum creek, too.

We tried Kenilworth Homestead out in July, Brr it got down to 0.1' in the van one night and we made frost balls that morning by collecting all the frost off the grass blades. It was good spot, the amenities cleaning was a little slack (ie- I told them there was no toilet paper the day we arrived they managed to put some in the day we left which was 4 days later lucky we had our own) and they charge a little more than Neurum Creek PP, but didn't offer the same standard.
That said would be a nice spot in Summer, swimming in the Mary river, canoe hire and horse rides for the kids at a cost. Dogs are free. Oh and it's 1.5km from the Kenilworth township so we walked into town one day for a beer and meal at the local pub.
