Are there many other club members that get into camping and bushwalking around the SE qld region? I wouldn't mind trying to organise some trips and wondering whether others would be interested. Cheers,
We have just come home from camping at Neurum Creek (between Woodford & Kilcoy). Its a camp ground where we could take the dogs and have a open fire. There are walking trails which tackle Mt Mee. Nice spot for the weekend.
Neurum creek is great. We found it a bit hard with the dog, but the national park offers some brilleant watering holes, crystal clear and cold as the arctic.
Definitely interested. We said we wanted to do some more weekend camping (when we can fit it in around the 3 ferals and their sport!), and there's so much of QLD that we still haven't seen, so this is as good an opportunity as any!
Myself and my partner are just about to start doing bushwalking and light camping etc as well, so these tips are great
I remember a few years ago doing a walk at the back of the Gold Coast through Spring.... something national park. It was a 17km walk and took about 5 hours to do but was just beautiful. We walked underneath waterfalls and swam in the creek at the bottom which was freezing. If I can remember the right name I will post it but I am sure you could find it at the Info Centre.
Im keen, I love camping, bushwalking, fishing, kicking back and just taking it easy telling stories. I love just driving my Kombi anywhere and know lots of great spots, count me in please I like the sound of that.
Hey I was just following... JayBone-Coming to a town near you, and thought when he gets close to Queensland maybe some of us could get together to form a convoy from Lennox Head for a drive across the boarder into Qld for them on their arrival, what about that? anyone else interested?
