    Hi Craig,
I'm keen. How do I get contact with him?
    Be thankful of your help.
Just got my replacement sticker "classic no plastic" working at the moment. I'll have to move that to the RHS if I can get a campmobile sticker!
    Thanks,
    David H

Is anyone still looking for stickers, send me a pic and I’ll see what I can conjure up.

Know a person who might be able to reproduce them!

We are restoring a 1971 low light transporter with a Sopru Campmobile conversion. Rather than a ‘VW CAMPMOBILE’ sticker applied directly to the tailgate, we have an aluminium plate riveted to the tailgate. Approximately 40cm long by 7cm high. See attached photo.

It is very faded now, but it looks as if the words ‘VW CAMPMOBILE’ may have been stencilled directly onto the aluminium plate. I guess it could have been a sticker with the wording becoming etched into the aluminium over time? But if so the sticker is long gone! Perhaps these stencilled plates were applied to the very early Sopru Campmobile conversion, and the stickers, discussed in this thread above, were applied to later models? – just guessing.

Is anyone familiar with these aluminium tailgate plates, and how to restore the lettering?
I was also hoping to replace the sticker on the steering column support bracket – i.e. the sticker indicating to lock the sliding door when driving. Seems it might be available as part of a set from various suppliers in the UK.

Does anyone know of other suppliers of these replication replacement stickers?

Our motor is a stock standard 1600cc dual port. On the fan housing tinware there was the common sticker for the valve clearance (that I have been able to replace with a new one). There was also the number 156 stencilled onto the housing just near the ignition coil. (See attached photo). Does anyone know what this figure ‘156’ means?

You also have the two stickers on the sliding door one on the outside and the other one on the inside of the sliding door in RHD. Which all the ones I've seen are in a set are for LHD. I know were you can get RHD ones.:D

For the campmobile on the aluminium, not sure how it was originally applied. I'll imagine getting a sticker and applying it to the aluminium plate would be the easiest way to do it know. Just getting your hands on the sticker might be a little harder to source.

Repro stickers look to be about the same shape as available on the aluminium backer you have @Doob .
I'll take a photo with the tape next to it if you want or try

which is where I got my new sticker from. At a guess it looks about the size of your aluminium base plate.
    Best to call him;).

Wow, never seen one of those Sopru backing plates before.......nice provenance ! Yours is a lowlight, so may well have been amongst the earlier Sopru conversions done.....these days with graphics software and computers, I’m sure you’ll be able to replicate the original accurately. Good luck.
    Cheers,

Doob, sticker replacement set has been available from various VW shops - you could try Vintage Vee-Dub Supplies in Campsie NSW (no web site so you would need to call them) - http://www.vintageveedub.com.au/contact.html

If you're not in a hurry then the JKA ZVW30A you posted has everything and worth finding out when stock is expected then wait for a surprise in the post ;) .... Kai on here works @ JKA so talk with him.
