COLD START PROBLEM

    Our 1982 T3 is hard to start when cold. Our mechanic believes it could be the cold start solenoid. Any tips before we order a new one?

    The cold start injector can be tested by removal to see if it injects fuel on start. Your mechanic also needs to check operation of the AAV (auxiliary air valve) and the cold start temp sensor (below cold start injector and towards front of engine) if these haven't been checked already :)
