I think you are really old if you refer to the Cranberries, Alannis Morrissette and Hootie and the Blowfish as "new music"

 

I don’t know about everyone else but I have listened to #1 for this years jjj hottest 100 a number of times and still find it a bit average. Do I need to listen to it backwards or high to get it?

 

I’m with you on that one.................not #1 worthy here, but a lot of others thought so...........

There’s actually one here, in a village of just 13 houses, although I’ve never seen it being used...

There’s also 2, next to Woolworths in the closest shopping centre. Again, never seen anyone using them.

I think along with Telstra’s obligation to supply a landline telephone to any house, anywhere in Australia, (should they still want one), they are also still obligated to supply & maintain a certain amount of public pay phones.
