Last time I had a problem with my computer, the tech sorted it and told me it was a “PICNIC” issue....... When I asked, “What’s a PICNIC issue”? He replied: Person In Chair......Not In Computer!
PEBCAK issue .... problem exists between chair and computer, my wife is a CSC ex Bluescope Steel and BHP Steel before that, computer tech, this term came up quite often between the techs when out for a social drink  everyone was identified by asset number or their directory ID so they knew who it was they were talking about, but no one else did. Acronyms are everything in the IT world .... anyone care to guess what an AMD is? T1 Terry
I remember doing phone support for a suveyor in Queensland (and I had written the software!). "Now type this blah blah etc... and then press RETURN". Response from surveyor. "Nothing happened". Turns out he typed the word "RETURN" and looked whistfully at the screen waiting for some sort of response.
Kids at school would say, "Sir, why do we have to make a "Padded Footstool"? Can't we just buy one?". So the next day l brought one in and l made them sit down and look at it in a reverent silence. I maintained this for 15 minutes. I said if we did that we'd learn nothing. You guy's would learn no woodworking skills and I'd have nothing to write in your reports. We'd make no mistakes, we'd have nothing to laugh about and we'd not be preparing you to interact with other's in a professional or vocational manner. Let alone the chance for you to learn some skills.
