Pics of Day of the VW - quality not the best forgot my camera had to use the phone - but so many sweet vw's, caught up with some friends, met some new and interesting dubbers heard some great stories - chilled out to the max - fantastic day :D

Exhaust hanging on by a thread - sucking fumes and backfiring but Xerxes made it there and back on his own 4 wheels - hopefully broken the RACV habit he had aquired... :)

It was a great day. Nice to cruize in from KG with Jon & Nik in their lovely lowlight and to catch up with all the VW lovelies that we see once a year, and even those we see more often!
As usual lots of machinery to look at and drool over.
Our personal focus this year was 70 Beetle research for the Pusyycats Glitterbug project. Found some bits and gleaned a few ideas.
Congratulations and thanks to the VW club for the event. Und es war Wunderbar!!!

The latest in VW audio equipment. No dash holes required and a dancing rat to boot!

Great pics Xerxes. Thanks for putting them up. Must be a decent phone camera too:)

Since the weather was looking ok, I toyed with the idea of getting up early and making a dash to Yarra Glen, but I think I broke the throttle cable 2 klm from home on the way back from a couple of days down the beach Saturday:umm:

Still, the old fella made it the rest of the way home and after a wash to get the salt air off him, I was also able to get him up the slope and into the shed for a well earned rest:D

Hi Alpal, - It was great to meet you guys, and to be able to put a face to the text.
Sorry we didn't get to meet up with the rest of you KombiClubbers.. there were so many people there I wouldn't know where to search...
Amazing rides all around.... Makes me think there is room in my shed for one more project...
Hope to meet up with more of you next event...
    Cheers, Jon & Nik

Cheers Brian. I gave him a ring. He still has it price might be a bit steep unless dad chips in haha! So shattered i missed Sunday(gotta earn money for the kombi) Will definitely be at the next even as i would like to put faces to all the friendly people on here. I met Rod the owner of Bud the t3 on the weekend as i drove my mate to him to pick it up as he bought it. Great guy very polite and full of knowledge.
