Think the proportion of kombi's gave them the edge over beetles etc - it seemed that way as everywhere you turned there were some :)

    Great pics everyone.

Guys, honestly I was totally blown away by the amount of Kombis V Bugs on the day at Dubs. Is this normal ? Is it a case of Kombis growing in popularity? Or maybe the Kombi fraternity is very well (possably) better organised than other VW groups. I don't mean to take anything away from the other VW enthusiests, but I was really expecting the Kombis to be in the minority to Bugs. I'm pleasantly surprised. :) I've never seen so many Kombis in one place at one time. I had goose bumps as the convoy rolled in. I found myself saying, "where's the bugs". I'm sure it must be great to participate in the convoy, but there is something to be said for just watching as the convoy as it rolls in. Awesome:D :D :D

In all the years attending Dubs at the other venue there was always more Bugs than Buses...
But with the reasurgance of "Kombi popularity" this last year in advertising/TV commercials/kombiclub etc I think that could be the reason..
They have said there were over 80 kombis???...maybe :)
But the bug count was definately down this year...

I am glad to see all the regulars there on Sunday & our newer members braved there "first KC outing" & came along....so happy you did come... to show you what a great event this really is.... & is NOT worth missing...
