Matt - I just grabbed Eve and said "I know you aren't really into cars but check out how clean that engine bay is" - she was semi-impressed but I can't wait to show Tony.

G'day Matt...the extraordinary thing is that the entire engine bay is lined with a cream coloured velour and not an oil stain in sight ????

*taking a bow* Thanks Jane. :) It came to me when Jae was showing me the video in the carpark just after we arrived. It's come up a treat, I reckon. Makes me giggle every time I see it.

Oh, and Judy is quite the whiz with her little camera. I'm loving your shots, hey.

    Julian.

    It's a Flock!

The 21 DLX is owned by Michael Flock (aka froggy/frogster on many forums from memory - not a big poster as he preferes to get out and about surfing and cruising). He is the son of Bill Flock who is a bit of a legend in VW circles. And Caloundra local!

Great guy who surfs and has a VW pedigree as long as your arm.

I must admit Toni, G and I have had the pleasure of Michael, Jen and Georgia stop by one Sunday afternoon and take us for a cuise in it. Then come back for a beer afterwards.

It is nice ......really nice......although Michael did point out that going over 30kmph it gets a bit windy with the safaris open. But great as well, especially with the ragtop open too.

    Cheers
    Brett

Hey, does anyone know who won the prizes/trophies? I'm hoping a few people on here won something.

I'm afraid to say I was nursing a cold Corona in the pub when the prizes were given out. ;)

I know that Kombis in Paradise (Johnny) won Best Modified Splittie and Best modified Bay.
It was very hard to make out any of the others, the guy doing the announcing just mummbled and didn't even say what vehicle got the prizes just names.......Lorraine

They really need more categories, the bays should be split into utes, campers and bus's. Then best original and best modified in each of these categories.
To lump all the bays in together makes it a bit hard because they are all so different.
    Thats my opinion anyway
