The judging was a bit crap for the beetles too. You were either original or modified? Even the slightest modification like lowering or accessorising meant you were modified. Poor Glady's was parked up next to Sik's chopped beast, which definitely is a modified beetle.

When its like that I have no hope (this is why I don't like entering at shows)
My girl is not original anymore...widened rims & seats reupholstered & lowered...
& she really isn't classed as modified either....
So I am caught between both

Hope its nothing that will stop you coming down to eden. At least you were close to home and not stuck in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks for the smaller pics jae, I have a widescreen as my main screen and they still lapped over onto the 17inch next to it.

    great shots.

Think this one is my last I'll attend as over the past 8 years I've no idea why some choose certain cars for their choice - BLB and AVD most probably outrank KC members and every year the choices amaze me - some deserved and some are out of left field

    Agree with you totally Bert

    Here here Bert
There is just no sense in some of the decisions as to who wins what category. Some are close decisions then you get an absolute shocker in others that noone can fathom at all.

Categories are so broad and open to interpretation. Surely this mustn't help in the categories which matches up some interesting stablemates.

That engine bay is not only unstained fabric, it is also something like 17 years old.
Bert, dont let trophy judges effect your event, just enjoy the dak dak's.
In the first few years of this event, the publican piced the cars for trophy's, more a token but wth?

Just had a look through these again and i think the best looking van there was the hippy one at post number 31.
Great to see it being used and obvious that the owners love it.
