I always read with amazement these barn finds and think they can't exist. I have a little one, so I have to believe in Santa, Tooth Fairy ...., so I asked the Easter Bunny, for a rust free VW barn find, something different and this is what he came up with and I hopped to it!

16 or 17 years, owners couldn't remember how long this old girls sat there , just used for storage in this dry barn.
The unique dust protection system nearly killed me trying to find if there was any rust. IMG_2860.JPG IMG_2868.JPG
    Actually killed 1 little critter!

Rachael has just looked over the shoulder, I had to come clean, as it I looked like I'd been in a barn with 16 years of dust! "I bought a new VW", seems to have gone ok, more pictures!

Dash - no cracks. Kick boards in good condition. Rubbers seem ok to me.

    Anyone guess what it is?

I was trying to be broad it is defenately VW - 1968 to 1979 - so what is it SC Ute, DC Ute, Panel, Bus... Oh and to my disappontment they sold their Split SC Ute a few years back apparently (and Beetle) - I'd love to know who got the ute!

Its a 72 DC , 6/72 , all the numbers match and I think once all the dust is removed its going to shine!

It's one of those lucky things, I was going to view another bus and thought I'd try the seller on the phone as his place was on the way.

    Here are some more pictures.
