Adrian and I made a quick change of plans to come down to Bonny Hills for Easter so we could pick up some parts for our 65.
So we are here at rainbow Beach caravan park with Royce, Andrew and the kids. Kyra, Reece and their kids. We are expecting a couple more to arrive later today.
The weather is perfect so far with rain forecast for later today, but hay they said rain for today and it is beautiful.
This morning we had a beautiful walk along the beach with Royce, Andrew and the kids.
For those that came last year you wouldn't know the surf club, it was pulled down and a new one is taking shape in its place.

Well Michelle and Adrian, Kyra, reece and the kids have all left today. It has been wonderful to catch up with good friends and have a great break. Lots of pics, but will have to wait until we're home. Laptop wireless too slow.

Off with ithers to Port this morning. Lunch in the sunshine.

What a top little spot Bonny Hills is. It always helps that we holidayed with lovely people too!

Only took us 7 hours of driving to get home which I thought was pretty good, and that included 2 stops for Reece to be sick on the side of the highway. Must have been something he ate. ;)

We saw those Clipper busses and another Kombi that was travelling with them pulled over at Kempsey. Kids nearly threw themselves out of their windows to get a closer look. I was just thinking of their petrol bill.

We saw at least 10 Kombis on the way home which is the most we've ever seen on a drive that wasn't something related to KC. They seemed to be everywhere, but sadly, our waves from the LandCruiser didn't raise the same element of joy that we would have surely encountered if we'd been in Lola.

Thanks again to Royce, Andrew and their gorgeous children who warm the cockles of my heart, Michelle and Adrian - it was a really lovely surprise to see you there - and it was also great to catch up with Jon and Sammy, and the lovely Juz, Carl and Indali.

Thanks Col, I wasn't quick enough to get a picture of a beautiful blue clipper being closely followed by a blue camper that came past first.
The white one came later but I had the camera ready that time.

    Not a problem Mish.

There was one up for sale a while ago and it had a pricetag of around $60k and then there was the resto to bring it up to standard.

I know of one in northern NSW that was the old ACDC Tour Bus before they went overseas in the late 70's.

    These guys are really serious.

They often hear about something and band together to retrieve it from some remote place .......... and document them .......

"A Bus Too Far" ...... complete with Youtube clips of the adventure out west.

    http://www.dsk.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6710

Enjoy fans of these style of buses.

    Cheers
    Brett

I think the Blue & White one & the white one are both owned by the same Kiama local. We see them around on a regular basis.

Why not round it up to a cool half-mil?

Still, cheaper than a suburban flat. And way spacier. I'm in.

Major fan of these things, but yes - it is a whole different planet in terms of dollars and enthusiasm.
