Hey guys, my engine sits at 110 degrees, is this too hot? It’s a Toyota 4Y engine but the cooling system is factory I think.
    It’s a 1984 model , thanks!

Common for water pump impellers to corrode or even fall off on 4Y's - pretty easy to replace though (well they are on a hilux at least ). 100ish C is is pretty normal for these engines but 110 is getting a bit too hot - also worth checking the thermostat, IIRC the original toyota ones had a fairly high opening temp...

106 degrees is the optimal running temp of most engines and 112 degrees is too hot or overheated.
Be careful maybe a flow issue in rad, water pump impeller.

Because the system is designed to hold optimum temps and have reserve capacity to deal with a degree of adverse conditions.

Aninability to hold that temp in normal or slightly elevated conditions suggests a fault somewhere.
A pre warning of a looming failure that will do serious damage.

Josht3...interesting thing I have found over the years with rear engine front radiator as I have in my bay...its a long way for the water to be pumped...fitted a DaviesCraig water pump at the front...absolute end of overheating!
