Free to a good home......
So who has the gearbox crate now?
Looking at getting mine looked over in a few months
I think @David H collects T3 gearboxes...doesn’t he ?
Still here Nils, but I could give it to Phil, if I make it to the Nationals, Sunday fortnight.....
If Grants' doesn't work out, I have one in Lilydale......in flat pack form.
Doh, if I had known I woild have raken it along while I was there
Oh well. IF you happen to give it to Phil that would be awesome, otherwise I will take Gerry up on his offer.
For some reason, the lid is in 3 strips - maybe it was the only material available to the original box builder?
I’ll cut and fit a single piece lid for you Nils, before I deliver it to Phil.
No problem I can KC express to my place.
That was designed by Rudi to allow it to be pulled partly away allowing the top support to stay in place (or be properly located) whilst allowing more stuff to be stuck in the box.
When Rudi returned mine he sent back the factory bell-housing and all the dud parts he replaced.
Germans always have their reasons!
He may be happy to see his box again
I’ve put his 3 part lid inside, and fitted a single piece lid, so you can decide which one to use.
I’ve now put my spare used gearbox in a new crate, for long term storage....
Geez..I so want to comment but I'll moderate myself before our mods moderate what I want to post.
Go for your hardest David, just for entertainment value.....
"Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know."
Too much experience in making crates.
Indeed I do feel I’ve become a plywood crate and cardboard craftsman of late, that just knocks out the odd bit of furniture in my spare time...
Maker of fine furniture from best grades of CD ply. ??
Maybe keep some good hardwood sawdust for next gearbox ?
I’m guessing someone in France is doing that, with a large quantity of donated material...
Can't do it. Lauren (my other mod) says don't. I wish to stay living with her.
