Anyone experienced this with big front brake kits in Aus?

This seems to me to be a design problem on Gowesty's part, as they are machining the 2wd hub from scratch. You are right to ask that question Phil as this could affect other conversions available on the market.

Very interesting - 5mm spacer for steel wheels isn't insignificant  ..... at least issue identified

I hazard a guess this is cased by the bar that their hubs are machined from.

It was no doubt cheaper to buy one smaller and not have to turn down the outside diameter. Than to buy the next size up and machine it down to the right size to fit in the disc.

    Cost cutting strikes again

I have the SmallCar Audi G60 big brake kit.

I wonder if there are any issues with the Smallcar kits?

I have alloy wheels too - which seems to make a difference.

The problem seems to be from the aftermarket steel wheels which have a larger diameter footprint on the rotor, which takes it past the support of the hub.
