    Hi Kombi people :)
My name is Nige, I am from Hobart, and looking to buy a VW camper/poptop Kombi.
Dont own any other VW - well - I sort of do... my Dad and I have a DRB Sabre Mk11 kit car (unfinished) that is based on a Type3 chassis and has a decent VW motor in it.
I also have a classic WRX, a couple of Hillman Imps, and a Jensen Interceptor III.

See Nigel, just proves how small Tassie is. Can't go far with out somebody knowing somebody. Welcome to the Club. You will find a lot of help in all aspects of Kombis here, I know it has helped me no end.

    Regards

    Hey Adrian hows it going?
Yeah Tassie sure is a small place, which is some times good, some times not so good...

Tammy put me on to this site :)

I have found a decent looking bus for sale. I have been a VW fan since I was a kid but don't really know the specifics to look out for... any chance you would be able to have a look at this one for me at some time?

The original shape WRX is known as the Classic, then there was the Bugeye, the Blobeye (or Peanut eye) then the Pig Nose and then the current one is the Betty (as in Ugly Betty)

The GC8 was released 16 years ago now, certainly old enough to be a classic and has achieved such status, especially the STi models. Have been featured in several classic car magazines etc.
