That's a good thing the leave is in mark ;)

It better not be 39 deg on the trip or it won't be the Kombis that we need to worry about over heating

so now I think we need to firm up a few dates......Sue has to fly back to Sydney, post Margaret River...she couldn't get the whole time off.....any ideas - roughly - when we'll be looking at road transport out of WA ?
If we could book her return flight to Sydney sooner rather than earlier we would prefer to, that's all.
    Thoughts?

Dont know about every body else but as for me I will be looking at around the 12th of may to transport my kombi to addy (no discount for group bookings and cant book until 2months before date...cost $380 BUT make sure the quote you get includes items in kombi...and mine is a poptop)

thinking along the lines of leave griff on 22/4 and get to perth area 1st weekend in may spend a week there trans kombi to addy...stay in addy for two days waiting for kombi then drive to boat for 17th ish

Havent ruled out staying in perth longer then trans kombi to mel.....fly back to tas then after 8 days fly to mel to pick kombi up then boat it home

If you are leaving Griffith on the Tuesday and plan to be in Perth by weekend, which way are you going from Norseman? To me that time would be straight to Perth. Looks like that time frame is doing long drive in day. I thought you were looking at going via Esperence, Albany Denmark, Margaret River etc.Seems to me you will be doing 110 ks all the way. Take your time driving and spend less time in Perth. We have seen all above and are still going to go via that way. Nows the time to start all the talking and getting it all sorted out ey. :)

We also are time limited Mark and trying to organise flights back as well.

I would like to have the van back in Adelaide ready to roll around the 8th May. Depending how we are coping by then head to Melboune stay for a day than straight home.

My understanding of the plan is something like this

    Griffith
    Mildura
    Burra
    Port Augusta
    Port Lincoln
    Ceduna
    Eucla
    Caiguna
    Norseman
    Esperence
    Albany
    Margaret river
    Yallingup
    Perth

Bernie thats pretty much as we will do but we will leave here and head to porta gutter as going over to mildura is just silly as 360 odd ks out the way.

Being from WA a worked and lived near Norseman the most scenic way to Perth is via esperance. Roads arent to bad either.
