The old thread is locked away in the archive as it ended up getting very nasty - and if this one goes the same way, it will end up in the same place.

This was bought through a car auction in Brisbane by a used car yard in Maroochydore a few weeks ago.

When I spoke to the guy at the car yard he said that they were wanting to list it for a price around $7,000 but were using the Dept of Transport inspection to hold the guy who signed off on the RWC to bringing it up to standard. ebay seller had changed his ebay identity.

    Wonder what happened ......... ?

Shame that such a vehicle has ended up not being wanted.

Perhaps someone will take it on as a bare metal resto project and bring it back to being loved instead of being a pariah. Fingers are crossed.

BTW a few of us had a good look at this vehicle on the May long weekend and I rang the car yard on the Tuesday. Hopefully someone can see some potential in making it a project.

well its cheap enough at the moment...It will no doubt be picked up by a fan and then we may see some amazing things..And it will be loved.

I really hope so too..i hope somebody in the know fixes this poor old Lowlight once and for all.
She's really had a bad run but has the potential to be something quite special.

I notice a question asked to seller by an Ebayer named "Royce".

Now what are the chances, of two people named Royce being into Kombis? ;)
