Our Eclectus Parrot 'Nebo' flew away a little while ago, but Bob could hear him in the trees. He is up in the tall Eucalypts and couldn't fly down as he had only learnt how to fly up at that stage. Bob spent all night until it got too dark to get him, and then all the next day following him from tree to tree. 24 hours later Bob climbed on the roof and he flew over with a flock of King Parrots he made friends with.

I can understand your relief, and it just goes to show persistance does pay off.

Well done Denise, my hear goes out to you guys as i can understand how happy you must be feeling!:D

Wonderful news Denise, but I just don't understand how anyone could just think it was a good idea to take him in the first place and then dump him. What sort of morons are they?

I'm really happy for you that he's back safe and sound. Well done to KB and all of your other friends for their help in rallying around to get Ardi back safe and sound. :)

wow amazing, i wonder if you would have found him if that newspaper hadn't rolled the story on him.
It must be a wonderful feeling to have him home again, I couldn't and do not want to imagine the heartbreak you must have gone through.
1..2..3 YAY for Ardis safe return. :D

I wish we could make it too! :) ... after driving to Port Mac and back at Easter, I reckon we'd be up for it no worries ... I will make it my New Year's resolution - surprise visits to interstate meets in 2010! :)

(a couple of us considered doing a surprise trip across to an Adelaide meet a couple of weeks ago, but sadly it didn't happen ...)

    Ardi back at home

"Ardi, Coolum’s missing Labrador cross, has been found and his owners believe his safe return was thanks to a story in the Sunshine Coast Daily and a Pomona dog psychic.

Denise Nash received a phone call on Wednesday afternoon from a woman in Yandina to say she believed she might have her dog, which had been missing for nearly a week.

How the six year old ended up at Yandina was anybody’s guess, but Mrs Nash was just thankful their beloved family pet was happy, healthy and home.

“The woman called me as she had found Ardi walking down her street in Yandina and assumed he was simply a stray until she saw the article in the Daily,” Mrs Nash said."

A bit innaccurate...Ardi was found out in the country...on a farm, not on a street in Yandina and my name isn't Nash! :p...at least i don't remember marrying anyone called Nash? :0... and "the woman" is a lovely person called Kylie :)

Great ending! Glad he's back home, and getting spoilt (he probably can't figure what all the fuss is about, but happy to lap it up :p ).

So an unusually long long stroll, just checking out his neighbourhood.... or hitched an unknowing ride, like checking out some interesting smells in the back of a ute, and suddenly the ute started moving?

I only ask, coz "stolen dogs" are usually kept...

Anyway, sooo glad you're reunited. Dogs are what keep us sane! ;)

We are 99% sure we know who took him. The police have been notified and are taking it very seriously.

In the meantime - ARDY PARDY :)
