Hi again guys, in my van I have this head unit installed, although the space provided isn’t big enough for it to be pushed back nicely. Where is your head unit placed? Need some ideas

    Thanks!

Yes the heater box gets in the way there.

Go Westy have a heater core replacement video where they use a heat gun to slightly melt and re-shape the box to allow for the full insertion of a typical head unit.

Could possibly do that through the ash tray opening.

    Mine fits (just).

I also find the two coated heater / vent control cables on the RH side, can foul the unit and stop it moving further. Ease them to the right, to help the unit slide in. Also be sure any wires coming out the back can be either tucked below, or above the head unit, and not bunched at the back.

Either way, it is always a super tight fit. o_O

Just get a media player. They have half the depth so fit fine. Anyway CD's are so yesterday :)

But we drive a “yesterday” vehicle, so the CD player suits it well, now the cassette tapes have all stretched or broken, beyond playable! ;)

Nice Idea, some just cant let go of their CD's. Possible problem with knuckles hitting the Head Unit for those that have bent gear sticks or excessive play.

Some people's knuckles have a mind of their own......
Lately, I've just managed to stop mine dragging on the ground.
