Highbeam switch/problems

Ok so the problem at the moment seems to be that when you flick the indicator stalk up (Highbeams) the relay wont stay on. Like the highbeams turn on then turn off when the stalk goes down. I have replaced the relay with another second hand one which i hope is working. What normal problems are their in the highbeams like what could cause this fault?

 

I had that exact problem a month or so ago, turned out to be the relay.
