Great video but no mention of the VW bus. You even have to wait to 16:24 to see your first one.

Maybe the Kombi is not one of the proudest moments of the VW journey?

You've only got to look at the Kombi owners like us at KC, to see why that may be the case.....

    :p :D

Bulls**t. The best they ever made. Bar none!:D:)
    Just talking for 76 T2's.
Kombis go forever & that seems to be a very long time!
What ... do they forgive something that's outlived time!
That out handles modern McPherson strut vehicles?
One bad heater doesn't destroy an experience of motoring!
Ride dirt bikes. My Kombi is just the same.
    Exceptionally 'well balanced'.
They made a lot of good vehicles & then they made Kombis.
    The greatest.:D

    Yep.
VW proper are pretty keen to get a heartbeat out of a jaded customer base by trying to link kombi's with that electric Kia thats broken down on their drawing boards.

Cimon Mark. You don't think it's strange that a video on VW doesn't even mention the inconic Transporter even once in 17 minutes?

True Chris, I did expect a mention of the Transporter somewhere along the line.......but the clip is about VW, not any particular model.....

It's a Type 1 history, and then the other companies VAG have bought........ no need to mention the misfits that the Type 2 appeals too. :D

Mentioned a lot about beetles & what brands they own now & how many people are buying them! Why didn't the 'misfit' T2's get a mention? They (the t2's not the misfits) helped build the 'brand' along with beetles that built the reputation that is just recently tarnished.
They should not be embarrassed. They should be proud!
It's just odd to me that they ignored the 'second cousin'.
Yeah Grantus ..Parents tolerate that from the kids....cos' they hope they raised them well!;)

I think you'd have to take it up with the independent makers of the clip....

It is a clip made about VW, not produced by VW. ;)

If I produced a clip about VW I would take all opportunity to attach the brand to all 'positive experiences' in the market place for wherever it came from in the public's mind. Positive 'feels good' & that's part of 'branding' & purchasing. You're 'selling' the experience (just like a Golf) & surely Kombi's are part of that.
As to "independent makers of the clip" it was funded by whom?
    Cheers,

Google him. Independent. Not doing it for charity!
Getting paid for what he's doing! By............
.............VW.......... I guess. VW decided what was in that vid because they paid him:D!
If you have trouble understanding why it is 'that way'....follow the money trail!:p
Been an MO of mine, to help me understand, for 40 yrs.;)
Not many people 'operate' altruistically. Thankfully most on this site & this site in total do!
Must be a Kombi way of being!:):D:rolleyes:
