How to locate the T3 engine number

    I just can't seem to locate the engine number on my DOKA manual T3 1990.. Were is it normally found?

    Base of the breather tower, facing the rear.

    Take another pic of the area in blue, through the rear engine flap.......

    Hey @johnvw ,

    I checked the SC here to verify, and to take the required horizontal pic, you’ll need to be either 10 degrees above or below level, to see beyond the horizontal alternator support bracket. Or take out a socket, and remove the bracket.

    Then if yours is like mine, you’d need some degreaser, a scraper, and a wire brush to remove 30+ years of grease, dirt, oil and crud, to reveal the engine number. (I’ve found no reason to want to read the engine number, so mine’s still a multi coated secret! ;))

    That’s the one!..................Glad it starts with “MV”. ;)

    Now does it match the one on your registration papers? :rolleyes:
