    Hi Guys,
We're looking at getting a part shipped from the U.S.
It will weigh 60 pounds and the dimensions are 42"x19"x8".
I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with shipping parts internationally. Getting quotes can be difficult at times, and the prices range immensely!
Does anyone know a good courier company who wont ask for my right arm and kidneys as a down-payment?

    Cheers,
    Ash n Bob

    bob,

the biggest problem getting stuff into the country, is the one off factor. most mobs will charge you for this reason.

    contact fedex.

they are a little dearer, but not many hassles involved.

if you want, i can give you a name and phone number of someone i used to use. he is in adelaide, but they are nation wide now.

    cheers brian

bob, to be exact. no one can give you a correct price. because you have only given weight and dimensions etc, but not the cost of the item. the most important part of your inquiry is the cost of the item. thats when all the costs come to life. gst. sales tax, duty etc.

    cheers brian

    Bob, contact fedex,

seeing as how you only want to bring in one item that is your best choice.
no one else will be interested, trust me. if it was an on going thing, then you would be ok.

    cheers brian

if the cost of item is $390, then i would definately source it in aust. the freight alone will be more than a grand.

that 30 k weight will most definately cost you a fortune.

trust me guys. i would not lie to you.

    cheers brian

Hey? As i said before, we have been quoted $245US to ship it, but was just seeing if that was the cheapest. So we can get it shipped for less than a grand

    Fedex was $465.

    ash,

    be carefull.

you were told they could ship it out for that price.
that does not include the prices when it gets here.
    trust me.
    i dont lie.
that was my job for ten years.

if you feel confident, then go for it.

they will not tell you that you will have to pay 22 percent tax, then 5 percent duty and then what ever
customs duty cost. im not tryiny to stop you buying but just trying to save the hidden costs

if you were not a kc member, i would not waste my time telling you that.

    cheers
