jeebuz, my jaw just hit the deck when i saw that, it's incredible, please tell me you're some sort of builder/ craftsman. It's just that i just came back inside from building a ramp for my dogs to reach their doggy door, was pretty impressed with my handyman skills and now feel slightly less special.

You can say that again, I think he's already there! Thanks to me! The wife's wished he had something else to be obsessed with though. It doesn't help when I'm pointing out vw's everywhere we go excitedly and buy him vw matchbox cars when ever I can! (Oh yes and I am a carpenter by trade who has hung up the tools recently-looking for a change ) Thanks again for the kind words. This is the closest thing I have to a finished Kombi at the moment, just need more time money and paitence!
It took me a weekend to constuct and FOREVER and a day to paint! I hate Painting with a passion, lately I could only work on it on weekends, during that I was trying to find what to use for lights and the vw badge. I think the reflectors for the tailights worked well and the sticker headlights come up well.
Very nice! I like the detail in the headlights and wondered how you did it, stickers ay! Thats gotta be the coolest bed I have ever seen. Materials for beds cost heaps these days aye? But worth the final product. Very, Very Cool when is the bay version coming? I can see it now, ebay kombi furniture shop - One for your lounge room/ bed room for those who can't afford to bid on one for the garage jono
That's just fantastic. I don't dare show it to my 8 yo son, as he'll be nagging his Dad forever to build him one. You must surely win Best Dad of the Year award.
