    Hi all,

i'd be keen to see if there is some interest for a 1-2 night Kombi weekend at either of the above locations. If yes, just add your name below and the number of weeks notice you would need.

Evans Head has a brilliant caravan park right on the water. Suitable for groups. Walk to pub, beach, etc. Plenty of room for kids to muckaround.

Kingscliff is also fab, and nearby parks can be used for play area etc. Kingscliff will take a bit of haggling to get a date that can accommodate perhaps 10 kombis etc.

I'll do the running around/booking etc if there's a group of us keen.

    Cheers

    Punchbuggy Stu

Count us in. Evans Head is a nice spot and a decent cruise for the Gold Coasters.

At the BusStop Open Day, Judy was talking about the weekend of the 16th March and was investigating campgrounds at Byron Bay / Suffolk Park etc. Any progress Judy? Would you be happy with Evans Head?

Next headland pass Ballina - maybe 45-60min further down (of course 30-45mins the way you drive). A fair hike for us inland dwellers, Baldy.

Would also be interested but probably only if at Kingscliff - Evans Head just a bit far for a weekend for us "non-coasties".

    Hey there,

spoke to the King Nth park:

    http://www.tchp.com.au/images/Mvc-004f.jpg

trust me the image above is just co-incidence ;-)

They have sites powered and unpowered available for both nights. I can reserve 8 sites no probs. This is the only dates in March available. Its a top spot. Literally on the beach.

Price: $21 per night unpowered if staying 2 nights. Add $1 for powered
    1 night stay is $25

If yes, i'll book it out and then everyone can pay direct on arrival.

I reckon we can share some power for those who need it.
    I've got decent tarps.
Any one got a decent portable barbie? and some musica?

Good spot for kids to ride bikes and heaps of space for cricket.

    Thanks Stu

    We don't need power.

We will be there Friday & Saturday night.

If Kingscliff is the go, we are in.

I play Old Farts Football on Friday Nights (Player/Manager!) so we will only camp over the Saturday night.

We do not need power so only an unpowered tent site for us for one (1) night.

Dale & I are okay with either venue but as Judy has already booked Broken Head we need to go with that one - all agreed?

Not wanting to confuse things further but...Baldy do you want to camp at Kingscliff o/nite and meet the rest at Broken Head for BBQ lunch on the Sunday. It's about another 1hr further down but I do so enjoy racing you so we may do it quicker.

It would make the trip home a good 3hrs or so but again it could be a good chance for a rematch?

    Kingscliff Weekend / Broken Head

    Hi everyone,

I'm not sure where the Broken Head thread is. If i had seen it i would have reconsidered the proposal to camp at Kingscliff. The dates for Kingscliff are the only dates available in March.

At this stage, due to confusion and not sure why all of a sudden there is a Broken Head booking, I'll keep the Kingscliff booking alive as several people have already expressed interest in Kingscliff and I've already reserved 8 sites.

Hopefully there can be adequate numbers for both locations.

    Thanks

    Stu

Roy grabs his reverend outfit from the closet !!!!
Sorry to be a party pooper here, but this is why all KC supported event dates should be passed by the reverend first, to avoid confusion.

I have talked to Judy and she will combine with Kingscliffe

Douggieboy and Mish13 have offered thier services to coordinate the events in SE Qld and Northern NSW, Hopefully we will be able to plan events better so they do not clash.

Roy takes off the reverends outfit and places back in closet :)

    Thanks Rev,

Kingscliff will be a good chance to discuss some Kombi Club matters. It is ages since the SE Qld & Northern Rivers members all sat down together.

    Cheers

Yes Sorry but like Stu I didn't see The Broken head event thread so I assume it was in the planning process but not an actual thread (?).

    1. Punchbuggy: We will come to Kingscliff o/nite Saturday.

    2. Byronbug: If you decide to go to Broken Head, We will cruise down Sunday and meet up at lunchtime, BBQ(?) and cruise back. If you end up short of your booking numbers or there is a cancellation fee, I will pay for a spot so you're not out of pocket when I see you.

    3. Roy: Good policy...next time.

    4. When I have 2 kombis on the road, I can sent the girls of my family to one event and the boys and I to another! It will just be a fight to see who gets which vehicle.

    Kingscliff It Is Then

    Thanks Judy,

Will we see you at Kingscliff?

We did spot this particular campground and made a mental note to stay there one day - it should be a good weekend.

The events calendar is the logical place to reserve a future date or event.
