Heading down that way in early Feb if you want to have a look.
Hello Col! Thanks so much. I will for the next one!
Happy to make known colour and price as really, the owner was not honest with me. It is a grey green with cream top. VW Colour apparently but I don't know the name. And was asking $38,000 now $34,500. Looked pretty :-(
Ha haaaaa! I put them on the rack...
That sounds great ... let me know where and when.
yeeeessss... that's the one.
And thanks John!
Thanks so much Col! I may well take you up on that offer. And the colour was grey/green with cream top... '72 lowlight. $34,500 reduced from $38,000.
The dogs are still 'on the rack' !!!!
Col, I have been offered a 'cleaned up' Kombi and have photos. But am worried as it is not 'restored' and it's pretty top dollar. Through a reputable dealer I think. I'll private message you. As it is in your part of the world...
As per pm.
Avoid the seller at all costs.
Yup seen that one and thought "he's dream'n"
I am obviously meant to be the new Kombi Club member that makes all the classic newbie mistakes! Let's hope I get them all out of the way before I hand any more money over!
'Jane Strikes Again'!
That sounds great Larrywaves!
I just don't understand how these busses are advertised for over $30k without even providing a RWC. Even if buying interstate, a RWC has to provide some level of comfort? Also, not referring to this bus in particular, but alarm bells ring when I read 'only a few small issues stopping it from being roadworthy'. If they are so small, just fix them I say. Rant over!
Totaly agree Paul.
It means the seller is either too lazy and has expectations that everyone is stupid enough to do his work for him, or he is well aware that the items are going to cost dearly but is too greedy to lower his fantasy pricing.
Anyone who buys deserves to get ripped for being a mug.
If seller not providing RWC and un registered = they know it's a heap of shit and going to cost $$$$$$ to make it roadworthy.
Hi Jane, be patient, don't let this experience put you off, I'm sure a Kombi will find you soon...
Did that have the red wheels? I loved the look of that!!!
Have you had any luck since?
I have an inspection being done here in Adelaide on Wednesday on a 74!
Jase, Jane was successful in finding herself a Kombi and is enjoying the cruising
