    Hi all

Just a reminder that the Bus Stop for 2021 is still going ahead. All the details and how to book in are in the first post of this thread. Maleny is a beautiful part of south east Queensland and this Bus Stop will shape up as a great weekend.

    Cheers

Hmmmm, I wonder if I will make it a full 2 years without getting the bus out of the garage and rock up to this as my first trip...... Seems I have missed Stu's camping as it is this weekend.

    Hi Family,
It is with sadness to advise that I will not be attending the 2021 Busstop, due to a change in personal circumstances:(. Still booked into Lanis for the Old bar beach festival, see you then. ;)

Hope you all have a good tune up in the kombi ready for the big hill  Many moons ago this was a yrly get together spot for an RV forum I belonged to and poor Kombi with the an 1800 bolted to a 2ltr gearbox found the going tough on the big climb, but we were towing a trailer as well so .....
Sadly we as far too busy to take Easter off, we will have to work through it just to keep up. Seems everyone wants to be set up for full off grid travelling/living so if there is another lock down they won't be trapped at home or stuck in limbo because all the caravan parks and showgrounds kick everyone out and lock the gates.

Lovely spot, cold at night and you will need a fire place built to not burn the grass ..... and you will need to bring your own dry firewood because all the wood around the creek/river is wet and smokes like there is no tomorrow and the whole area gets smoked out, how to win friends .... You will need a grey water bucket as well, they are very sensitive about any grey water going in the creek/river because of the platypus population that live in there. A great river walk into town, the Sunday morning market is good and you have to get in early to get the fresh bread and ginger cake, well worth the effort.

There is a KC member who lives up that way, I think he is known as T4 Camper on this forum, well he did live up that way anyway, very nice people and they have been to other get togethers so .......

Hope everyone has a great time up there and a great trip there and back.

    Hi KCers

Bus Stop Maleny 2021 is certainly going ahead unless there are shut downs imposed by government. As we are operating out of a showgrounds, ensuring facilities are available and serviced across the weekend has taken some time to sort out, but pricing and the payment method will be posted up in a few days.

There has been a few cancellations of some long termers, but there is plenty of room, so please check instructions and nominate your booking on the Who's coming thread.

And if you previously cancelled and changed your mind - no worries - you are always welcome in Queensland :D

Bookings and payments for the Saturday night fancy dress will also open in about 2 weeks.

Remember to get costume organised - Australian Film and TV:)
