    Hi
I recently discovered the clock in my 1976 bay is a hard item to come across as it was an optional extra. Can someone give me a ballpark price as to what they are worth?
    Thanks

I reckon $300 plus or minus $100 depending on condition

I think Chris, Aspro, was doing very good repro ones out of the UK for that sort of money....would be worth a pm.

Cheers Mark. I made tachos but never got around to doing clocks. There was just no demand.
Bay clocks in Oz usually sell between $200-400 as Mellow Yellow has indicated above.
There have been quite a few sell for close to $500 after a complete mechanical and cosmetic restoration.

A shiploads wristwatch may represent better value...

Could be because most Bay Kombi owners really don't seem to care what time it is, how long it took to do, how long it took to get to the destination, or whether they turn up on time....or turn up at all?

    :p

Standard clocks were noisy. These days we all have phones or a radio in our daily drive to remind us if we are late..

I've found the 73-75 clocks the hardest to get my hands on, probably due to the lack of imported buses which usually had them. Prices have indeed gone silly. Prices went mental in Aust early once demand stepped up, but now gone silly everywhere.

I've never had a problem with mine (76-79 black face) that i've found for my buses, all worked(and accurately), just given a quick service before install.

Nowdays, better to find a whole dash pod, then you get a bonus speedo(more often than not, a trip speedo) and idiot light cluster for pretty much the same coin.

I have a 73-75 grey faced one here lying around somewhere that I picked up then cracked the glass( my fault, should have realised the adjuster knob would have been siezed, pressed in to try to free up and ...crack......) and miraculously found a good housing(with glass intact/guts ripped out) that I still need to put together.
