I’ve passed on your kind wishes David, thank you. However, she is wondering why there is no more cake. :D

Tell her Fen ate it celebrating her happy birthday;). And sorry for my lousy spelling of "such"!

Just saying she may think she is now old enough to do as she chooses.......and not be told what to do.

She was always keen to listen and do all the fun stuff at Old Bar, a few years back, but now she’s just wiser. ;)

I met a black Lab, that the owner adopted, as she was a retired drug force dog, but retired when the hips would no longer allow her to work each day, running on luggage conveyor belts.

The owner found it very amusing, when taking her for walks in the city, that she would still suddenly just sit, beside dodgy characters! :D

That is definitely the case! I knew you could appreciate it, haha!

Oh what a beautiful story (apart from her poor old hips). The poor darling would be sitting quite regularly if she were to visit our local streets at present. ;):D

I did like the way they retire them at the first sign of any stiffness in the legs or hips, and are monitored well, rather than work them till they can’t move..... so they have a decent few years of retirement. :)

Yes, that’s good to hear! :)
Such beautiful dogs deserve a well earned retirement.

Back in the back of the Caravelle again. Dog training this mornin'. Boringly repetitive I guess (for them as well as our esteemed readers). Iseult and Ginevra. Also affectionately know here as the tweedies (tweedle dee and...)

We thought about taking our Labrador to training school, but realised there was no point.........

We already did everything she wanted us to do! o_O

Fen just finally settled today at Chromefest IMG_0804.jpg2.jpg
& so did Dad. Lots of people for a dog that had too many feet close to her head before in her younger year & Fen (after 2 hrs) was able to walk thru the crowd without cringing:) & even look like she was having Fun (Fen!).
    Cheers

Yes it works. But you have to be consistent and stay the course!
